What I did

• Studied fundamental and technical analysis
• Researched companies on my own afterwards
• Swing-traded a small personal portfolio

The hard part

Moving from learning the two approaches to using them with my own money, where mistakes actually cost something.

What I took from it

This is where my interest in markets and valuation comes from. Trading even a small portfolio made the gap between theory and real decisions very obvious.

What I did

• Secured sponsorships for youth events and contacted chief guests
• Kept Excel records of sponsor and partner contacts and event finances
• Designed certificates and promotional graphics in Canva
• Worked a 10-hour day at a 2025 cricket tournament run by the Siliguri Chamber of Textiles Association, putting up sponsor banners and coordinating with the organisers

The hard part

Sponsors need a reason to say yes, and events depend on many people delivering on the same day.
